Changshu Confucian Temple

This temple was built during the Emperor Renzong reign of the Northern Song Dynasty (1054-1056). This temple was the educational and cultural centre of Changshu during the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is the earliest preserved ancient offical building in Changshu. It has a seperate temple dedicated to Yan Yan, a student of Confucius within the boundaries of the Confucian Temple (information from Confucian Temple WeChat)
