Linden Centre in Suzhou in the Wengxiang Ancient Village of Dongshan provides stunning accommodation. Built originally by Liu Gongbao, a local wealthy merchant of the Qing Dynasty. It is a beautiful, restored building with a large number of rooms and a number of small courtyards. Besides accommodation they offer conference facilities, a range of workshops including cook and handcrafts. I was fortunate to stay as part of a work retreat which included amazing food and a cultural workshop on traditional fan making.
